disaster strikes... well almost.

so about an hour ago, daddy took my truck to go fix a sign or whatever for work. he got it stuck and in the process of rolling back and forth to get unstuck, he both the transmission! :[ oh just wait it gets worse... so me and mom are towing him in the suburban, just imagine how that makes my truck look. pathetic right? ok so we're going to the car repair shop, and if you've been to lehi you know that K & S Auto is right next to the round about. so we're towing my truck through the round about with our hazard lights on when some retard lady come bulleting throught the round about and is speeding staight for my baby [the truck] and dad swerves and she stomps on the brakes and comes to a schreeching hault about a foot away from my precious vehicle! i screamed at her for about a whole two minutes. i was very angry! at least the truck will be driveable in the next week. that is one thing i can be happy about. :] love to all. hope your new year is going well. :]

christmas morning.

we all look so happy!!!! [funny things is mom really does. she's probably been awake for hours waiting for all of us to wake up.]
but christmas was really fun. we all enjoyed it. i got a box with the keys to a truck in it and i started crying. :] i am now officially driving. scary. the boys got a bunch of boy stuff and we are all trying really hard to be nice to each other for mom. she likes it when we're one big happy family. hope all your christmas mornings went well.

christmas time... what does that entail for most? the smell of mom baking cookies in the kitchen, the kids all sitting around the christmas tree reading christmas stories, the house filled with the quiet sounds of mom's favorite christmas melodies as she hums along to the cd player, everyone focused on the true meaning of christmas, a cute little snowman in the front yard... not for us!! if you were at the petersen house yesterday you wouldn't have seen any of that. mom, me, kimble and carter were outside building a ginormous sledding hill out of the almost 2 feet of snow we got.

cortney was inside making chicken noodle soup for dinner that night, homemade noodles passed down through the generations, dad was shoveling other peoples' driveways and then for FHE we all got pulled behind the suburban on our sleds!!!

i couldn't feel my face for a while! but oh so worth the frostbite. :]

i also talked daddy into letting me snowboard behind the car. that was a blast. now with all the snow the boys have some friends over and they are playing snowbaseball... with a glove. :]



we love them. :]
